MLB All-Star Harold Reynolds & Eat, Pray, Love Author Liz Gilbert Special Guests on June 27

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder will welcome former Major League All-Star and television personality Harold Reynolds as well as award-winning author Liz Gilbert to Waterfront Park on June 27th.

Monday, June 27th is MLB Network Night with a special guest appearance by Harold Reynolds. Reynolds will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch as well as signing autographs for fans on the main concourse before the game. The autograph session will be held on the main concourse from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Reynolds, a two-time American League All-Star and Emmy-Award winning broadcaster, is an MLB Network studio analyst. Harold regularly appears on MLB Tonight, Hot Stove, Diamond Demo, Thursday Night Baseball, Path to the Pennant and MLB Network's breaking news and special event coverage. Reynolds debuted with the Seattle Mariners and played for the Baltimore Orioles and Anaheim Angels, during which he earned two All-Star berths and three Gold Glove awards for his outstanding defense at second base. In 1987, he led the American League with 60 steals and is among the Mariners' career leaders in ten offensive categories.

Reynolds was inducted into the State of Oregon's Hall of Fame and has received numerous awards for his philanthropic activity, including being named President George Bush, Sr.'s 195th Point of Light, recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award for outstanding service in the community, Seattle's Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award and Jaycee's Man of the Year Award. Harold has also done extensive service with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

In addition, Frenchtown, NJ resident Liz Gilbert will be in attendance on Monday, June 27. She will be a special guest of the Thunder and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Liz is most notably known for her memoir Eat, Pray, Love, which recounts her journey around the world during a difficult time in her life. It has been translated into 30 languages and the international best-seller became a blockbuster film in 2010 starring Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts. At the start of her career, Liz wrote for publications such as GQ, Spin, and The New York Times Magazine.

Please note that Gilbert will not be holding a formal book signing at the stadium. She will be on the field before the game and will sign autographs for interested fans before and after she throws her ceremonial first pitch.

The first 1,000 fans ages 6 and over on June 27 will receive the fourth installment of the Thunder's Travel Cup giveaway series. This cup features the team's original "thunderbird" logo and the names and numbers of the three players to have their uniform number retired.
