Monday's Chiefs, Bulls doubleheader cancelled

Games will not be made up
May 16, 2011
Monday's doubleheader between the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, and the Durham Bulls was rained out. The games will not be made up as the two teams are not scheduled to play again for the rest of the season.

The doubleheader was scheduled to begin at 11:00am Monday after Sunday's matchup was also rained out, but the weather, once again, did not cooperate.

The scheduled starters for Syracuse in Monday's doubleheader were lefty Tommy Milone and righthander Craig Stammen. The Bulls planned to put J.P. Howell on the mound in a rehab start and then pitch righty Alex Cobb in the second contest.

Fans who purchased tickets for Monday's games can redeem their ticket stub at any other 2011 regular season home game. Season ticket holders should check the back of their ticket for the unused season ticket policy.

The Chiefs will start a four-game series with the Norfolk Tides on Tuesday at 7:00pm in Alliance Bank Stadium.
