Most Anticipated Opening Homestand Concludes Tuesday

(Reading, PA) -- The completion of the Awesome Offseason Renovations, a Ryan Howard Garden Gnome Version #2 to the first 3,500 adults, one lucky fan wins a life-sized Ryan Howard Garden Gnome – estimated at 550 pounds, a National Penn Mascot Band pre-game concert, Bark at the Park, an America’s Classic Ballpark Baseball, and much, much more, highlight the most anticipated homestand in the history of the Reading Phillies.

Tickets for the opening homestand of the 2011 season, presented by Pepsi, are still available and fans can purchase tickets by phone at 610-370-BALL, by walk-up at the brand-new R-Phils ticket office, or online at www.readingphillies.com.

“It’s the day we have all been waiting for,” said R-Phils GM Scott Hunsicker. “It has been an amazing offseason filled with awesome stadium renovations. We have so many great things planned for all season and look forward to sharing all the new amenities with our fans. It truly is the re-birth of FirstEnergy Stadium.”

On Tuesday, April 19, the R-Phils will conclude their opening homestand with a 6:35 p.m. game against the Erie SeaWolves. The first 500 adults will receive an R-Phils Legends Photo of Larry Bowa, courtesy of Tamaqua Chamber. The night will also serve as Lacrosse Night presented by Body Zone Sports and Wellness, and all fans that bring a lacrosse stick will get a free ticket. There will be a special Lacrosse Night Play Catch of the Field at 5:30 p.m.

Single-game tickets for all remaining home games this season are available now and fans can purchase tickets by visiting readingphillies.com, by calling 610-370-BALL, or by stopping by the brand-new ticket office located at FirstEnergy Stadium.
