National Minor League Blogger spotlights popular new menu item

April 13, 2011
Benjamin Hill, a national reporter/blogger for MILB.com, the official website of Minor League Baseball, recently included the JetHawks Sweet Po-tater Tots in a blog entry on premier new food items throughout Minor League Baseball. In "Regional Cuisine, Sweet and Extreme", Hill wrote the following about the JetHawks popular new food item.

"Meanwhile, out west, the Lancaster JetHawks are making waves with their "Sweet Po-tater Tots" (with a side of syrup). Now this is how teams should photographically depict premier concessions items"

Hill included a photo of the tots, which can be viewed at www.JetHawks.com. JetHawks Director of Food and Beverage Adam Fillenworth is thrilled with the praise the tots have received both inside Clear Channel Stadium and across the nation.

"It's kind of funny because initially, I didn't even put this item on my menu board in fear of it being ran out of the ballpark," Fillenworth said. "Now it is one of my top-selling and most publicized items."

Fans can sample the sweet po-tater tots as well as a variety of other new menu items, including the Stealth Burger, throughout the 2011 season. Following Wednesday night's series finale with San Jose, the next opportunity to watch JetHawks baseball and try the tots will be a brief three-game series between Lancaster and Stockton April 21 through 23. All three games are slated for 7 p.m. starts.
