Norfolk hurler McCutchen suspended

Orioles farmhand to miss 50 games effective immediately

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Baltimore Orioles Minor League pitcher Daniel McCutchen has received a 50-game suspension without pay for his violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

McCutchen, who is currently on the roster of Triple-A Norfolk of the International League, tested positive for performance-enhancing substances Methenolone and a metabolite of Trenbolone.  His suspension is effective immediately.
