International League
Jordan Brown, Columbus

Reigning IL batting champion Jordan Brown would most likely have started the season with the Indians had he not sustained a meniscus tear in his right knee during Spring Training, and now he looks like he's healthy as ever. The injury kept him off the field until April 29, but he's been hitting ever since. This week, he was especially hot, putting together three multiple-RBI games. Brown began the week with a four-RBI effort in which he doubled and went 2-for-5 with a run scored against Charlotte. He went 0-for-4 on Tuesday and, after a day off on Wednesday, banged out three hits to start a holiday-weekend series against Lehigh Valley. He plated five runs against the IronPigs on Friday, homered against them Saturday and wrapped up the week with a double and a single on Sunday.

Pacific Coast League
John Lindsey, Albuquerque

Dodgers farmhand John Lindsey, who leads the Minors in batting average and is second in hits and slugging, notches his second PCL Player of the Week award in 2010. The MiLB veteran added big-time power to his impressive output this week, doubling his season home run total. The display started on Monday, when he went yard at home against Reno. Closing out that series on Wednesday and Thursday, Lindsey added two more homers. On Saturday, he punished Memphis with six RBIs, knocking another roundtripper. He homered again on the final day of the week, making it the second time in five days he crushed a longball in consecutive games.

Eastern League
Brandon Laird, Trenton

Brandon Laird's week was highlighted by a three-RBI performance in which he hit for the cycle against the Erie SeaWolves on Wednesday. The two-run homer that sealed the cycle came at a perfect time: with Trenton down two runs in the bottom of the ninth. The walk-off home run was the first of two in the week -- the Yankees prospect rocketed the second on Sunday, when he fell a triple shy of another cycle while plating three runs and scoring three. Between the homers, Laird had two-RBI days on Thursday and Friday.

Southern League
Trayvon Robinson, Chattanooga

Trayvon Robinson taught a lesson in economy this week. It took just six hits spread over six games for the Dodgers prospect to earn himself a spot among the Southern League's leaders for the week in homers, RBIs, runs scored and stolen bases. One key to his success? He was also among league leaders in bases-on-balls, reaching four times via the free pass. He homered twice, walked and scored three times on Monday, and although he had only two hits over his next four games, he got aboard in each of them, stealing bases in three consecutive matchups. He homered and singled on Sunday to put an exclamation point on the week.

Texas League
Jhon Florentino, Corpus Christi

Astros prospect Jhon Florentino came into the week with a .193 average and six RBIs on the season. By the time his head hit the pillow Sunday night, he was hitting a far more respectable .242 and he'd increased his RBI total by 150 percent. Florentino, who hit .266 in the Texas League last season, had been on a 2-for-16 skid when he wrapped out two singles on Monday. It was apparently the confidence boost he needed as he went on to hit safely in each of the week's games. On Friday, he tripled and singled to knock in a career-high five runs, and he added another triple on Saturday. He was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk on Sunday.

California League
Drew Cumberland, Lake Elsinore

Drew Cumberland, selected out of a Florida high school as a sandwich pick by the Padres in 2007, has looked comfortable during his first season at the Class A Advanced level, and this week's performance was typical of the consistency he's shown. He had two hits in each of the last four games of the week, going 8-for-14 over that stretch. Cumberland, who was second in the Cal League with a .374 average and tied for first with 45 runs scored coming into the last day of May, homered on Monday, did it again on Thursday and then did it again on Saturday. He tripled, doubled, grabbed an RBI and scored on Sunday.

Carolina League
Jamie Romak, Wilmington

Jamie Romak, who signed with the Royals as a Minor League free agent in January, has been swinging the bat the way his new organization hoped he would. He homered on Monday, plating two runs for his second consecutive gave, and then knocked in another pair on Tuesday. Wednesday saw the 24-year-old outfielder go 3-for-3 with his third extra-base hit in as many games, and he doubled again in his next game on Friday. He closed out the week with two hits, an RBI and a run scored over the weekend.

Florida State League
Calvin Anderson, Bradenton

Pirates prospect Calvin Anderson enjoyed two perfect days at the plate this week, first going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI on Monday and then going 4-for-4 with a homer, four RBIs and a pair of runs scored on Wednesday. Anderson doesn't look like a feast-or-famine hitter, either; he had at least one hit in all but one of the week's contests. On Sunday, he was working on his third perfect day at the dish until he flew out to center field in the seventh inning, ending up with a barely more modest 3-for-4 game, reaching base in four of five plate appearances.

Midwest League
Jordan Lennerton, West Michigan

Jordan Lennerton is back in the Midwest League after hitting .282 with 30 doubles, 12 homers and 72 RBIs over 119 games there in his first full season -- maybe some in the Tigers player development department feel the '08 late-rounder needed to build more confidence in A ball. The way Lennerton hit this week, he has plenty to be confident about. From Monday to Wednesday, he had eight hits -- half of them doubles -- three RBIs and a pair of walks. He'd walk three more times, add another double and plate two more runs by the time the week was through, and he rode a 10-game hitting streak into Monday.

South Atlantic League
Luke Murton, Charleston

Yankees '09 draftee Luke Murton leads the league in doubles after rocketing five two-baggers this week, two of which came in Monday's 3-for-3 performance. He hit safely in each of the six games he played in, totaling three hits to open a weekend series in Kannapolis on Saturday. In Sunday's doubleheader, he continued to punish the Intimidators, going 3-for-7 with a homer, a double and two runs scored over the course of the day.
