International League
Bobby Smith, Charlotte

After connecting for just one home run in his first 104 at-bats of the season, Smith found his power stroke this week. The 32-year-old Major League veteran hit four dingers in just five games, and his grand slam on Saturday powered Charlotte to a 7-3 win over Louisville. Smith's big week raised his average considerably, from .212 to .256.

Pacific Coast League
Bryan LaHair, Tacoma
.583 (14-24), 12 R, 0 2B, 0 3B, 6 HR, 14 RBI, 4 BB, 2 SO, 0 SB, 1.333 SLG
LaHair was happy to be away from home this week, as the first baseman hit six homers and drove in 14 runs over six road games. LaHair provided some big moments for the Rainiers: His three-run homer in the ninth inning lifted Tacoma to a 5-3 win over Omaha on Monday, while his 4-for-5 performance on Wednesday helped the Rainiers hold on for a wild 12-11 victory. On Friday, Lahair hit two homers and drove in six runs, but Tacoma lost to Portland, 11-7.

Eastern League
Jacoby Ellsbury, Portland
.400 (10-25), 7 R, 1 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SO, 1 SB, .720 SLG
Ellsbury's first Double-A homer came on Thursday, as the 22-year-old native of Oregon went yard in the eighth inning of the Sea Dogs' 13-4 trouncing of Harrisburg. Ellsbury has hit in seven straight games, and he scored at least one run in five straight contests before that streak ended on Sunday against the Aeros.

Southern League
Evan Longoria, Montgomery
.400 (10-25), 4 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 7 RBI, 0 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, .840 SLG
The third overall pick of the 2006 draft, Longoria has excelled at every stop of his brief Minor League career. The 20-year-old hit .400 in his first full week at the Double-A level and has collected four straight multiple-hit games. The best game of Longoria's week came on Sunday, when he homered twice and drove in three runs against the Mobile BayBears.

Texas League
Aaron Peel, Arkansas

The highlight of Peel's current nine-game hit streak came on Wednesday against Frisco. The 23-year-old went 4-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and three RBIs, but the Travelers managed to lose the game by a score of 7-6. Four days later, Peel went 3-for-5 with a homer, but once again Arkansas managed to lose. The left fielder is hitting a scorching .373 in the month of August.

California League
Javier Brito, Lancaster

Brito's stellar week was sandwiched by a pair of four-hit games. On Monday, the 23-year-old fell a triple short of the cycle, but the JetHawks lost to High Desert, 10-6. Lancaster fared better on Sunday, as Brito's four-hit performance sparked the team to a 10-7 win over Inland Empire. The native of Venezuela is now hitting .338, the highest his average has been since May 20.

Carolina League
Kala Kaaihue, Myrtle Beach

Kaaihue hit four homers this week, including one in each of his last three ballgames. The 21-year-old native of Hawaii now has 27 dingers on the season -- 12 with the Pelicans, and 15 with the South Atlantic League's Rome Braves. Kaaihue drove in three runs on Sunday to lead Myrtle Beach to a 6-2 win over Salem.

Florida State League
Brock Peterson, Fort Myers

Peterson smashed four homers in Fort Myers this week, marking the first time he went yard in his home ballpark since June 23. The 22-year-old has homered in three consecutive contests and now has 18 dingers on the season. On Thursday, Peterson's three-run blast against Vero Beach propelled the Miracle to a 4-2 victory.

Midwest League
Jordan Renz, Cedar Rapids

The Kernels went 4-2 on the week, and Renz played a role in all of his team's victories. On Sunday, the 23-year-old smoked a two-run homer as Cedar Rapids edged Wisconsin, 4-3. The dinger was Renz's Midwest League-leading 22nd of the season. The Oklahoma native's big week pushed his average to .239, the highest it has been since July 7.

South Atlantic League
Eric Campbell, Rome
.464 (13-28), 6 R, 4 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 2 SO, 2 SB, .714 SLG
Campbell was a hit machine this week, as the 21-year-old collected at least two hits in each of his last five ballgames. On Saturday against Augusta, Campbell went 4-for-5 with a home run and a double as the Braves eked out a 3-2 victory. After hitting .139 in the month of July, the Indiana native is batting .388 in August.

New York-Penn League
Angel Gonzalez, Williamsport

Though he's no longer a teen Angel, the 20-year-old Gonzalez has had a heavenly swing as of late. The Dominican shortstop collected three hits on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and has hit safely in six straight games overall. After mustering just four RBIs in the month of July, Gonzalez has driven in a run in each of his past three ballgames

Northwest League
Matthew Weston, Salem-Keizer
.560 (14-25), 6 R, 5 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 12 RBI, 1 BB, 2 SO, 1 SB, 1.000 SLG
Weston has hit safely in nine straight games, during which time his average has increased from .219 to .295. On Monday against Yakima, the 22-year-old connected on a game-tying two-run homer before going on to score the winning run. Weston then went on drive in at least one run in each of his next five ballgames, all of which were Salem-Keizer victories.

Appalachian League
Travis Snider, Pulaski

Snider is refusing to cool off, meriting his second consecutive Player of the Week nod. The 18-year-old has hit safely in seven straight games, and is batting .431 over 51 at-bats in the month of August. On Monday, Snider went 4-for-5 with two homers, two doubles and three RBIs to lead Pulaski to a 10-6 win over Danville.

Pioneer League
Justin Turner, Billings
.406 (13-32), 6 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 6 RBI, 1 BB, 5 SO, 1 SB, .781 SLG
Turner has hit safely in nine straight games, and in 15 of his past 16. The 21-year-old hit his first three homers of the year this week -- a solo homer against Great Falls on Thursday, and two against Missoula on Sunday. Turner's recent hot stretch has raised his average to .329, good for fifth in the Pioneer League.
