After starting the season with just three hits in his first 18 at-bats, Phillies prospect John Mayberry came to life in Monday's game against the Pawtucket Red Sox. He tripled, knocked in a pair of runs, crossed the plate once himself and was 3-for-4 on the day. He hit safely in each of the next five games through Sunday, and he was 3-for-3 with three doubles, four runs scored and two RBIs on Saturday.

Pacific Coast League
John Lindsey, Albuquerque

Dodgers farmhand John Lindsey is something of a Minor League journeyman at 33, and this week he demonstrated he's still a big-time professional competitor. Since Opening Day, Lindsey has been on an absolute tear, averaging more than a run scored and an RBI per game. He was 0-for-4 on Friday, but otherwise his worst day (April 14) included a double. He homered and drove in four on April 11, and he homered, drove in three runs and scored four times on Thursday. Ending the week on a high note, Lindsey was 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored Sunday.

Eastern League
Nick Evans, Binghamton

Notching multiple hits in six of his 10 games since Opening Day, Mets prospect Nick Evans has locked in on pitchers early this season. After homering twice to drive in three runs against Erie on Monday, he refused to expand his strike zone for the SeaWolves on Tuesday, working three bases-on-balls and leaving his bat on his shoulder through one intentional walk. Over the course of Thursday and Friday's games, he was 5-for-10 with a homer, a double, three RBIs and four runs scored.

Southern League
Robinson Chirinos, Tennessee

Robinson Chirinos, a Florida State League All-Star in 2009, was right back at it in the Southern League this week, knocking in eight runs over five games. The Cubs prospect had at least one hit in every contest and homered in three consecutive games from Wednesday through Saturday (the catcher took Friday off after a 3-for-4 night Thursday). Although he cooled off Sunday, he did manage a bloop single in the first inning and reached late when he was hit by a pitch.

Texas League
Andrew Brown, Springfield

Heading into Monday, the Cardinals' Andrew Brown had one hit in 14 at-bats. That's a .071 average, for those keeping track at home. A stellar week at the dish has him currently batting .300, as he hit safely in five of his six games. Brown had a 2-for-5 day Monday before a setback, 0-for-4 game on Tuesday. He rebounded with a homer, a double and three singles in his next nine at-bats, but everything he did ultimately proved to be preamble for his Sunday game against the Midland RockHounds. After grounding into a double play in the first, Brown turned his day around. He belted a grand slam in the fourth, plated a runner with a groundout in the fifth, singled in a run in the sixth and swatted a solo shot in the eighth. For those still keeping track at home, that's a total of seven RBIs in one day.

California League
Dan Robertson, Lake Elsinore

Dan Robertson has been a pleasant surprise for San Diego. He wasn't taken until the 33rd round of the 2008 Draft, but later that summer he claimed short-season All-Star honors and was the Northwest League's MVP. He hit .296 in the Midwest League last season, and he started this year with a five-game hitting streak. After a 4-for-4 performance on Tuesday, he was hitless Wednesday. He bounced back to slap out four singles, a homer, a triple and a double from Thursday through Sunday. On Saturday, he knocked in three runs, stole a base and scored twice.

Carolina League
Ryan Lavarnway, Salem

Red Sox catching prospect Ryan Lavarnway, a 2008 draftee, is clearly enjoying his first crack at Class A Advanced ball. Aside from two 0-for-4 days, he's hit safely multiple times in every game he's played in this year. Between two games on Thursday and Friday, Lavarnway went yard three times, doubled and drove in an astounding 10 runs. He kept up the solid work over the weekend, too, driving in four runs and scoring five times between Saturday and Sunday's action.

Florida State League
Travis d'Arnaud, Dunedin

Acquired by the Blue Jays from the Phillies in the offseason Roy Halladay blockbuster trade, former first-rounder Travis d'Arnaud appears to be in a rush to show his new organization what he's made of. He's begun the season with a nine-game hitting streak, and he belted a home run on Opening Day. The catcher had three or more hits in three different games between Monday and Friday, ending that run with another homer in Friday's game. On Saturday, he was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

Midwest League
Jerry Sands, Great Lakes

Dodgers prospect Jerry Sands, who hit .260 in 32 Midwest League games last season, is leaving little room for doubt he can play at the full-season Class A level. He's scored at least one run in seven of the 11 games he's played in this season, and he's collected at least one RBI in eight of them. He was 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles on Monday, and he went 3-for-4 with two more doubles and a triple on Saturday. Even his bad days have been productive -- on the second day of the season, he went 0-for-3 (his only hitless day so far) but managed to steal a base and score two runs all the same.

South Atlantic League
Tyler Kolodny, Delmarva

Tyler Kolodny is back in the Sally League for a second straight year, and after 11 games, the Orioles prospect has only three fewer home runs than he had in all of 2009. He doubled, tripled and stole a base on Opening Day, and two days later he missed the cycle by a two-bagger, stole another base and scored three runs. Kolodny rides an impressive streak into the week of April 19: he's homered in his last three games, including two roundtrippers on Sunday, and he has nine RBIs over his last five games.
