February 19, 2013
MISSOULA, Mont. -- The Missoula Osprey and the Montana Radio Company announced a three-year agreement between the two parties today that will put Osprey baseball on the FM dial for the first time in franchise history via ESPN Montana 97.5 FM.

The three-year deal runs through the 2015 season.

"We are very excited for this new chapter of Missoula Osprey baseball," said Osprey Vice President/General Manager Jeff Griffin. "I think this partnership is very beneficial to our fans throughout Western Montana with the games being broadcast on a traditional sports network with an expansive reach made possible by the stronger FM signal."

"Missoula's hometown baseball team, the Missoula Osprey, is a perfect fit for ESPN Montana Radio," said Montana Radio Company General Manager Ross Rademacher. "We are excited to bring Osprey baseball live to fans from Darby to Swan Valley. The Osprey's dedication to our local community and quality baseball is a perfect partnership for the Montana Radio Company."

Ben Catley will return as the radio voice of the Missoula Osprey this June. Catley has been involved in sports broadcasting for over two decades both at the amateur and professional levels, and will be in his seventh season with the O's.

"Ben has to one of the longest, if not the longest tenured broadcaster currently in the Pioneer League," said Griffin. "His hometown flavor is recognized and appreciated by our fans as are his insights on our official team blog."

The blog, properly named Bird Droppings, is full of little nuggets of information both on the Osprey past and present.

An online and mobile stream of the broadcasts will also be available with official details to be announced.

"We have been successful working closely with the Montana Radio Company on other co-promotional opportunities in past seasons and I look forward to our broadcasts being on ESPN Montana long-term," said Griffin.

The 2013 version of the Osprey will take the field for the first time at home on June 20 at Ogren Park Allegiance Field against the Helena Brewers. The regular season wraps up on September 8 in Billings with the top two of four teams in the Northern Division qualifying for the postseason.
