PawSox Walk Away To WIn

May 16, 2012

The PawSox took advantage of 8 base hits and 10 walks to edge Durham 5-4 on Wednesday night in North Carolina. Che-Hsuan Lin singled in the game winner in the top of the seventh. Lars Andersons' three run homer in the fifth was the big blow for Pawtucket, turning a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 lead.

Kevin Youkilis began his rehab stint (back) with the Sox. The three time All Star walked, and doubled in three plate appearances. Youkilis is scheduled to play third base on Thursday. Alex Wilson (4-0) was the winner and Mark Melancon notched his fifth save. Starter Doug Mathis worked into the sixth inning, not figuring in the decision. Pawtucket (27-14) has won six in a row against the Bulls. The series continues on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. Daisuke Matsuzaka will face Jim Paduch.
