Julio Teheran, Gwinnett

He's only 20, but Triple-A ball doesn't scare Julio Teheran. The Braves' prized righty gave up a run in the first and two in the eighth of his Monday start against the Bulls but otherwise frustrated Durham. He fanned seven and walked one in that outing. In his next start, he limited Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to an unearned run, scattering seven hits and a walk across six dominating frames; he once again punched out seven. Teheran is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA over five starts this season.

Pacific Coast League
Danny Duffy, Omaha
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 0 BB, 8 K
One of the Royals' several highly rated left-handers, Danny Duffy hasn't allowed a run since his first start of the season, in which he gave up three -- two earned. Thursday's outing was his best yet in the PCL. He took a no-hitter into the fourth inning against the I-Cubs, and Brad Snyder's single was the only baserunner he permitted over the course of his six frames. Duffy fanned two batters in the second, the third and the fourth and tallied eight strikeouts overall. He's given up four walks in 20 innings, and his strikeout-heavy start this week boosted his total to 24.

Eastern League
Zach Clark, Bowie
2-0, 1.38 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 13 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 7 SO
After the Akron Aeros homered twice and had eight hits off Zach Clark in his previous outing, the righty came back to hold them to a run on five hits and a walk over five innings on Tuesday. On Sunday, the Orioles farmhand was even stronger. Facing Richmond, he gave up a run on a pair of hits in the first inning and then settled into a groove. He allowed just three more baserunners -- one on a hit and two on walks -- over the rest of his start, which lasted eight innings, and he struck out six in the outing.

Southern League
Wes Roemer, Mobile BayBears

Wes Roemer set the tone for his Saturday start against Birmingham by whiffing three of the first four guys he faced. He offset a one-out walk in the second by inducing a double-play groundball, and he struck out two in four different innings, recording 12 whiffs in seven innings. The Barons had managed just three hits and a walk by the time he exited, but they did walk away with the win after a two-out rally in the ninth.

Texas League
Juan Nicasio, Tulsa

Juan Nicasio, who earned three California League Pitcher of the Week nods last year, brought his old tricks along with him to Double-A. Going up against the Cardinals in Springfield on Sunday, the Rockies prospect put together his second straight 10-strikeout start. He gave up a single to start the ballgame but allowed just four hits and a walk all day. After striking out the side in the second, he had a shot at pulling off the trick again later in the tilt; two Springfield hitters had been sent back to the pine on K's in the seventh when the game was called on account of rain. His 40 strikeouts this season lead his level.

California League
Allen Webster, Rancho Cucamonga

An 18th-round pick in the 2008 Draft, Allen Webster may have surprised the Dodgers by developing into a hurler who went 12-9 with a 2.88 ERA and 114 strikeouts and 53 walks in the Midwest League last year. The prospect is off to a great start in Class A Advanced. In the dry, thin air at High Desert on Friday, Webster permitted just two hits -- both of them second-inning singles -- and three walks while striking out eight over six innings. He fanned the first three batters who came to the plate, struck out the side in the fifth and got six hitters out on grounders.

Carolina League
Robert Erlin, Myrtle Beach

Rangers prospect Robbie Erlin got it together this week. Coming off his worst start since last August, he struck out 10 over seven shutout innings of two-hit ball against Potomac on Monday, refusing to issue a free pass in the outing. On Sunday's matinee against Frederick, he gave up one walk -- in the first -- and a leadoff homer in the third, but it was the only hit he allowed over seven innings. After that, he was perfect, sending 15 consecutive Keys hitters back to the dugout unsatisfied. He struck out six in that game.

Florida State League
Alexander Colome, Charlotte

When Alex Colome took the hill for his start against Jupiter on Friday, he'd allowed 16 runs, 15 of them earned, over 17 innings this season. The Rays prospect refused to let things get any further out of hand, piling up 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings while allowing three hits and a walk. He struck out the side in the third, and when the Hammerheads threatened with a leadoff walk and a one-out stolen base in the fourth, Colome buckled down and punched out the next two hitters. He clearly wasn't tired in his last inning, picking up two more strikeouts.

Midwest League
Anthony Ferrara, Quad Cities
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 1 BB, 8 K
Anthony Ferrara, whom the Cardinals took out of high school in the seventh round of the 2008 Draft, hasn't allowed a run in either of his last two starts, and his most recent outing was spectacular. In fact, Ferrara pitched seven no-hit innings, allowing Cedar Rapids Kernels batters to reach just twice -- on a second-inning walk and a third-inning error -- while facing the minimum on Saturday. The bullpen gave up a single in the eighth but preserved the shutout and the win.

South Atlantic League
Manuel Rivera, Greenville

The Red Sox's Manuel Rivera was razor sharp on Thursday, striking out eight without allowing a walk over six scoreless frames against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Rivera fanned the first two he faced and got two more to whiff in the second inning, and each of the two hits he allowed -- both singles -- also came in the first three innings. He got two groundball outs and recorded another strikeout in each inning from the fourth through the sixth. The Dominican southpaw is 3-1 with a 1.73 ERA over five starts this year.
