PitchTrack wins New Product Showcase

December 12, 2007
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- PitchTrack, a machine to detect location, velocity and movement of a pitched ball and provide computer displayed feedback both graphically and numerically for the pitch, claimed first place in the new product showcase at the 42nd annual Baseball Trade Show. Attendees at the trade show, held from December 3-5 in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, voted for the best new product.

Pitchtrack, an Ohio-based company, provides instant feedback of velocity, location and movement of a pitched ball. Coaches can set up workout routines and review results from remote locations via the internet from top, front, side or any other angle. Pitches are given composite scores based on accuracy, velocity, and movement. More information can be found at www.pitchtrack.com.

The New Product Showcase highlighted some of the newest and most innovative products and services in the baseball industry. Entries ranged from noise makers, a pitching cage, entertainment, player equipment, stadium and fan enjoyment and many more. Each entry had to meet the following criteria:

1) Company must have been a Registered Exhibitor at the 2007 Baseball Trade Show.
2) Product or Service must have been introduced between January 1, 2007 and December 3, 2007.
3) Product or Service must have been a New Development. Line extensions (i.e., new sizes or colors of an existing product) were not eligible.
4) Product or Service must be available to the market within one month after the 2007 Baseball Trade Show.

KoolGator (www.koolgator.com) took second place in the contest. KoolGators are patent-pending coolers that fans tie around their neck or head to keep cool. Baseball Sweetspots was awarded third place. Sweetspots (www.sweetspot.com) is a training device to help players focus on each other's gloves and improve throwing accuracy.

The Baseball Trade Show is held in conjunction with the Baseball Winter Meetings, the annual convention of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, Inc. This convention is the largest gathering of baseball executives in the country, bringing Major and Minor League Baseball together with their business partners. Over 300 exhibitors displayed their products and services at this year's show.
