A.J. Pollock, Arizona's eighth-ranked prospect, knocked his second homer of the spring in the second inning, taking Chicago's Gavin Floyd deep to left. The 25-year-old outfielder has hit .245/.333/.396 with four RBIs and four stolen bases in 21 Spring Training games for the D-backs.

Marlins catching prospect Rob Brantly continued to swing a hot bat Wednesday afternoon, driving in two runs with a pair of doubles in Miami's loss to visiting Washington. The 23-year-old Brantly, whom the Marlins acquired from the Tigers in the Anibal Sanchez deal last summer, is 6-for-11 with five RBIs over his last three Grapefruit League games and is hitting .310 in 15 spring contests.
