Ports set to go green

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports are proud to be hosting their first ever "Ports Go Green" Night at Banner Island Ballpark on Saturday. During their game with the Inland Empire 66ers, the Ports will welcome in local businesses to help promote green awareness and environmental issues.

The night will be centered on a business expo consisting of environmentally-conscious and "Green Friendly" businesses. All fans in attendance will receive a special Ports Go Green Booklet. Ports players will also be wearing commemorative green hats that will be auctioned off during the game. Ports Go Green Night is presented by The City of Stockton.

Beginning on Saturday night, Banner Island Ballpark will be furnished with recycling bins courtesy of Youth Build San Joaquin for all aluminum, plastic, and glass products. A new program will also debut through Searchwithstocktonports.com that will allow our fans to recycle their old cell phones and receive great prizes.
