Power outage postpones Chiefs and Yankees

Fireworks rescheduled for July 21
July 13, 2012
The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees were postponed on Friday at Alliance Bank Stadium due to the power outage that impacted Syracuse's North Side.

The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader at Alliance Bank Stadium on Sunday, August 12. Meanwhile, Friday night's scheduled postgame fireworks display has been moved to Saturday, July 21. Donate Life Night, however, will be rescheduled for a date to be determined.

Fans who purchased tickets for Friday's game can redeem their ticket at the Chiefs ticket office for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any Chiefs home game within one year from the date of the postponement. Season ticket holders and suite holders should refer to the back of their tickets for the season ticket and suite policy. For full details, including season ticket information, please see the complete Rainout Policy.

Fans who received tickets for Friday's game through the Donate Life America organization may use their ticket at any Syracuse Chiefs home game for the remainder of the 2012 season. The Level 300 General Admission tickets distributed by Donate Life may be brought directly to the gates, while the Reserved tickets distributed by Donate Life must be redeemed at the ticket office.

The Chiefs and Yankees will continue their series at Alliance Bank Stadium on Saturday night at 7:00. Tanner Roark is slated to start for Syracuse against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's Ramon Ortiz.
