Pridie's double lifts Buffalo, 7-3

Jason Pridie smacked a two-run double to break a 3-3 tie in the ninth inning, and the Buffalo Bisons tacked on two more insurance runs to beat the New Orleans Zephyrs 7-3 on Friday in Jupiter, Fla.

Pridie's double was his third hit of the game, handing Adalberto Mendez the loss. Mendez surrendered all four runs in the decisive ninth, his second inning of relief.

Jai Miller led the attack for New Orleans, finishing a home run shy of the cycle. Miller drove in the Zephyrs' first run of the game in the third inning, as the Z's scored twice to erase an early 2-0 deficit.

Trailing 3-2 in the sixth, Danny Richar singled home Scott Cousins to again pull the Zephyrs even against Buffalo starter R.A. Dickey.

Cousins had two hits, and Jason Delaney reached base three times via a single and two walks for the Zephyrs, who were outhit 11-8.

Jeff Gogal started for the Zephyrs, but recorded just two outs, allowing a run and two hits. Jay Buente struck out four while surrendering a run in his two innings, and Kasey Olenberger gave up only an unearned run in 2 1/3 innings. Brett Sinkbeil retired all six batters he faced.

The Zephyrs' spring record stands at 2-4-1. They continue their spring training schedule Saturday by facing the Memphis Redbirds.
