RattlersInGame Mobile Phone Website

March 31, 2011
Grand Chute, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers announced today an exciting new way for fans to experience Rattlers baseball through their mobile devices while they are at Time Warner Cable Field.

The team held a press conference at the stadium today to demonstrate a new mobile web site application that will change the way fans connect to the team, the game, their fellow fans, and the experience of being at the game. The application was created by St. Paul, Minnesota-based software and mobile applications development firm Accelerated Innovations.

"Rattlers In Game will provide several unique experiences through a fan's mobile phone," said Angie Ceranski, Timber Rattlers' Vice President of Marketing.

"In a digital world we are now able to leverage the smart phone to completely revolutionize the way fans experience a sporting event using their mobile phones. Rattlers In Game will provide our fans with up-to-date game information, player stats, video streaming and the ability to order food and drinks from their stadium seats." Ceranski said, adding, "We are giving our fans the ability control what they see and hear at the stadium through scoreboard photo sharing and music polls. That's pretty cool."

"While there are several mobile applications on the market that can do some of the things we offer," said Accelerated Innovations' Scott Ronay. "We believe we are the first to build a comprehensive mobile fan engagement system that is compatible with all web-ready devices. The Rattlers In Game mobile web site (accessible at www.rattlersingame.com) will be one of a number of pilot projects (called FANCONNET™) that we will be launching during the 2011 baseball season."

Most Rattlers In Game functions will be available to fans on opening day, but some aspects like live video streaming will be phased-in during the season. "We really want to be creative," said Ceranski. "We'll have mini mobile games that are tied to action on the field. These mini-games will be tied to daily prizes and to an end-of-season grand prize. We'll let fans decide what music they want to hear, share photos on the scoreboard and also let fans comment about their experience through social media. We're excited to add this new dimension to the fan experience this season."

The Timber Rattlers open the 2011 season against the Kane County Cougars at Time Warner Cable Field on Thursday, April 7 at 6:35pm. Tickets are available for that game and for all home games during the season by calling (800) WI-TIMBER, stopping at the Time Warner Cable Field box office, or online at www.timberrattlers.com.
