July 25, 2006
The Appleton Baseball Club will induct Jerry Reinsdorf into the Appleton Baseball Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 5.

The induction will take place at Fox Cities Stadium at 6:45pm prior to the start of that evening's Timber Rattler game.

Reinsdorf headed the limited partnership that purchased the Chicago White Sox (parent club of the former Appleton Foxes) in 1981. The Appleton Foxes remained a White Sox affiliate for the next six years. In 1982, 1983 and 1984 the Appleton Foxes won three consecutive Midwest League Championships.

Heading the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls, Reinsdorf has brought seven championships to the city of Chicago. His Chicago Bulls won the NBA title in '91, '92, '93, '96, '97, and '98. In 2005 the Chicago White Sox swept their way to the team's first World Series Championship since 1917.

All members of the media are invited to attend a press conference with Jerry Reinsdorf in the Leinie Lodge located inside Fox Cities Stadium on Saturday, August 5 @ 4pm. Please RSVP to Nikki Clipperton at [email protected] by Friday, Aug. 4 if you plan to attend.

The Rattlers will host the Beloit Snappers that evening at 7:05pm with fireworks following the game.
