Renegades announce new look for 2013

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- The Hudson Valley Renegades announced today the rebranding of the Short Season Class-A ball club in conjunction with commencing their 20th season in the Hudson Valley. During a private press conference held in the clubhouse Wednesday afternoon, the organization debuted the innovative look including the new color scheme of Dutchess Blue, Silver and Black, as well as new uniforms and a modernized mascot.

"Since the beginning, our organization has been blessed with the most dedicated fans, energetic staff, and incredible support from the community that has prolonged our long-term franchise stability here at Dutchess Stadium," stated Renegades Vice President and General Manager, Eben Yager, "We are very excited to take the next step in the next 20 years by rebranding while keeping pieces of the original ball club in each element."

The new home uniforms will consist of a solid white jersey, with Dutchess blue piping and the new Renegades script logo across the chest. The uniform number will also be Dutchess blue, with a white outline both on the front and back of the jersey. The home uniform pants will be white with Dutchess blue piping down each pant leg. The home cap will feature the Renegades mask logo on a solid black cap. The mask logo will be embroidered on the cap adding a raised element to the overall appearance.

For the road uniforms, the Renegades will maintain the grey uniforms but will feature the HV Tail logo, in new colors, on the right chest. The uniform number will be Dutchess blue, with a white outline both on the front and back of the jersey. The pants will be grey with Dutchess blue piping. The road cap for the 2013 season will be Dutchess blue with the Renegades script logo featured across the front.

The Renegades will also introduce an alternative jersey and hat for the 2013 season. The alternative jersey will consist of a Dutchess blue jersey, with the Renegades script logo in white, across the chest. The alternative cap will consist of 3 panels. The front panel will be solid white with the HV Tail logo being featured in the center. The back panel of the cap will be solid black as the visor will be Dutchess blue. The Renegades will also feature a batting practice cap, which will be worn with the alternative jerseys. The batting practice cap will consist of solid black cap with the HV Tail logo center on the front.

Rascal, the official mascot of the Hudson Valley Renegades, will also receive an updated look for the 2013 season. Rascal was introduced to the ball club in August 2000 and has become perhaps the most alluring mascot in all of sports. For the 2013 season, Rascal will be entering his teenage years at The Dutch, returning bigger, faster and stronger. Rascal will wear a forward Dutchess blue hat, black shirt, and Dutchess blue shorts. Rascal will have a larger physique and will have the same mask, and Dutchess blue eyes to resemble the primary logo.

In conjunction with the rebranding event, the Hudson Valley Renegades have released their 2013 schedule to the public with Opening Day set for Friday, June 21, 2013.
