TinCaps staffers caught logo-less to pay for tickets
March 9, 2011
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - With Opening Day less than a month away, the TinCaps are looking for eagle-eyed deputies to enforce a new staff dress code. Any fan who catches a full-time TinCaps staffer without a TinCaps logo visible on their person wins two tickets to Opening Day on April 7!

Staff members must wear a visible TinCaps logo at all times for the entire month leading up to Opening Day, whether or not they are on the job. Anything from a TinCaps fake tattoo sleeve to a lapel pin is sufficient.

In order for a fan to win tickets, the fan must ask the staffer to make sure he or she is not wearing a logo. After this is completed, the fan should report the violation by calling TinCaps' office at (260) 482-6400, where it will be confirmed by the violator.

"This should make showering a bit more difficult, but the point is to spread excitement about Opening Day and the 2011 season," TinCaps president Mike Nutter said. "I encourage our fans to help us enforce this new dress code - it could pay off!"

TinCaps creative director and noted rebel Tony DesPlaines is considered a prime suspect to violate the dress code.

"I might wear TinCaps stuff, I might not," DesPlaines said flippantly. "I dare anyone to try and catch me!"

When told he would have to pay for any tickets out of his own pocket if caught, DesPlaines was momentarily shaken but remained defiant.

Tickets, group outings and picnics for the TinCaps' 2011 season are on sale now. Visit the tickets page or call (260) 482-6400 for more information.
