Rich Rundles Named IL All-Star

Reliever is 5-4 with a 3.48 ERA for Buffalo

The International League today selected Buffalo Bisons LHP Rich Rundles to the 2008 All-Star team. The best of the International League will take on the Pacific Coast League's All-Star Team in the 21st annual Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 16 at Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, KY.

The Triple-A All-Star Game will be televised live on ESPN2 with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.

Rundles, 27, have pitched extremely well for the Herd in his second season in Buffalo. In 32 relief appearances, the southpaw is 5-4 with a 3.48ERA. He has struck out 36 and allowed just 26 hits, holding opponents to a .213 batting average (lefties hitting .161). His 36 strikeouts have come in just 32.2 innings pitched, giving him an average of 9.9K/9.0IP. From May 4 - June 14, Rundles allowed just two earned runs in 16 games and 15.1 innings of work (1.17ERA).
