Robinson, Eveland Named To PCL All-Star Team

June 29, 2011
Albuquerque Isotopes outfielder Trayvon Robinson and starting pitcher Dana Eveland have been selected to play for 'Topes manager Lorenzo Bundy's Pacific Coast League squad in the 2011 Triple-A All-Star Game taking place in Salt Lake City on Thursday, July 13th.

Robinson, who was elected by vote of managers, fans, and media members to start in the outfield for the PCL side, is enjoying a stellar Triple-A debut campaign, posting a pair of 16-game hitting streaks while making a number of sensational plays in the outfield. Robinson currently leads the Isotopes in homers (18) and RBI (49) while playing in a team-high 74 games. This will be the third straight year Robinson has been selected to a mid-season All-Star squad as the Los Angeles native played in the Double-A Southern League All-Star Game a year ago and was also selected to the Single-A California League All-Star team in 2009.

Eveland, who was selected by the PCL office, has established himself as the Isotopes' staff ace, ranking second in the PCL with seven wins and eighth in the league with a 3.86 ERA in 15 starts. From May 13 to June 20, the left-hander enjoyed a stretch of eight straight quality starts. This marks Eveland's first Triple-A All-Star nod, but the pitcher did start the 2005 Southern League All-Star Game while representing the Huntsville Stars (Brewers organization).

The 24th annual Triple-A All-Star Game pits All-Stars from the PCL against their counterparts in the International League. The game will be held at Spring Mobile Ballpark, home of the Salt Lake Bees, on July 13th and will be broadcast nationally on MLB Network at 7:05 PM MT.

After four games in Omaha, the Isotopes are back home on July 4 for a seven-game homestand that kicks off with the biggest and most spectacular fireworks show of the season.

Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
