Royce Bolinger Named Northwest League Postseason All-Star

August 29, 2012
Spokane, WA - The Northwest League of Professional Baseball announced today that Spokane Indians outfielder Royce Bolinger has been named to the 2012 NWL Postseason All-Star Team.

"It's a great honor to receive this recognition from the Northwest League," said Bolinger. "I had a lot of fun playing in Spokane this summer and I look forward to finishing the season strong."

Bolinger, a sixth-round pick in this year's MLB draft, currently ranks third in the NWL with a .304 average and seventh in the league with 15 doubles. The former Gonzaga Bulldog compiled a 23-game hitting streak from July 31st to August 2nd - the longest streak in the NWL this season and tied for the fourth longest all-time in Indians' franchise history.

"Royce was a model of consistency for our team this season," said Indians manager Tim Hulett. "His professional approach at the plate, hard work in the batting cage, and dedication to his craft will take him a long ways in this sport."

The Indians continue their five-game series against the Eugene Emeralds tonight at 7:05 p.m. with live coverage on SportsRadio 1510 KGA with "Voice of the Indians" Mike Boyle. Fans can also listen to the game online at 1510kga.com.
