May 2, 2012
Savannah, GA - Savannah Sand Gnats infielder, TJ Rivera, was named the South Atlantic League (SAL) Player of the week for the week of April 23-29, 2012. "It's great to look atop the leader board and see TJ in the top three," said John Katz, Sand Gnats team president. "We've become used to seeing our pitchers up there, but we're excited to see this team doing it with their bats, too." The Sand Gnats return home tonight for a seven-game homestand as they take on Delmarva (MD) (5/2 - 5/5) and Lakewood (NJ) (5/5 - 5/8).
