Scrappers Add 2nd Round Draft Pick to Roster

Niles, OH - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers have added the Cleveland Indians second round pick Jason Kipnis to the roster. Kipnis was selected with the 63rd pick overall out of Arizona State University.

Kipnis was named the PAC-10 Player Of The Year in 2009, hitting .384 with 16 home runs, 71 RBI and 27 stolen bases. Kipnis was also named first team All-American by Baseball America and Louisville Slugger First Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
