Seattle's Filia tops list of NWL All-Stars

Outfielder named MVP; Salem-Keizer, Everett both land trio on team

President Mike Ellis released the Northwest League 2016 Year-End All-Star Team on Monday. The players were selected by vote of the NWL managers and front offices. The Everett AquaSox and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes topped the list with each having three position players chosen. Overall, seven of the eight teams in the league were represented on the team.

Both the Manager of the Year, Jesus Feliciano, and the Pitcher of the Year, Manuel Rondon, were from the Eugene Emeralds, who lead the NWL in overall win-loss record. Most Valuable Player of the Year was Everett outfielder Eric Filia.

The postseason for the NWL begins on Wednesday in Hillsboro and Everett.
