Ever wanted to have a night at the ballpark named after you? Here is your chance.

“We’re very excited to offer our fans the ultimate ballpark experience in 2021. Our stadium belongs to the community, and there is no better way to get the community involved by letting the fans name a night. For the fan who has always dreamed of having their name up in lights, this is an unprecedented experience,” team president Jeff Jurgella said.

“Our mission as an organization is to improve the quality of life in our community and helping the Stateline Boys and Girls Club is a great way to make an impact and help youth in our community learn, grow and succeed.”

Net proceeds from the auction will benefit the Stateline Boys and Girls Club’s "Building a Better Future for our Community” capital campaign.

“We are very excited to be partnering with the Beloit Snappers for this celebration of Pohlman Field,” said Mark Rand, CEO of the Stateline Boys and Girls Club. “This is the first time any team has ever done a promotion like this and the Stateline Boys and Girls Club is happy to be part of it.”

Fans will have the opportunity to bid on the night through MiLB Auctions leading up to each game held at Pohlman Field in 2021. The winning bidder for each game will be able to choose the name the night at the stadium and will receive eight tickets to the game, two vinyl signs displayed at the stadium featuring their name, public address announcements throughout the game, a radio interview during an inning, the inclusion of their winners’ name on the team website, the opportunity to lead the singing of the seventh-inning stretch, and a group photo with team mascot Snappy.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to help a great cause and to have fans become a part of the Snappers farewell season in a way that has never been offered by a team before,” Jurgella added.

“If you’re looking to give dad an unforgettable birthday gift, name the night after him. Want to gain exposure for your business? Name the night after it. Looking to propose to your girlfriend? Name the night ‘Will You Marry Me, Jessica?’ There are so many fun possibilities, and we’re looking forward to seeing them each night at the ballpark.”

To continue to honor the legacy of Harry C. Pohlman, a long-time baseball coach in the Beloit and an original member of the Beloit Brewers board of directors, all fan-submitted names are subjected to a formal vetting process by Major League Baseball and the Beloit Snappers and both entities reserve the right to refuse any potential name for any reason, including legal, moral, and ethical concerns.

Game dates will be up for auction beginning today, Wednesday, April 14. The starting price for each auction is $500 dollars and the auction for each game will end a week prior to the date selected.

Fans wanting to secure their date also have a “buy-it-now” option, which is $1,000 for weekday games (Tuesdays-Fridays) or $1,500 for weekend games (Saturdays and Sundays).

The Stateline Boys & Girls Club serves youth from 6-18 by providing a welcoming, positive environments in which kids and teens have fun, participate in life-changing programs and experiences, and build supportive relationships with peers and caring adults.

The Snappers will begin the 2021 season on Tuesday, May 4 on the road in Appleton against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers before playing their home opener on Tuesday, May 11 against the South Bend Cubs. The 2021 season will be the final season the team will play as the Snappers before adopting a new team name prior to the 2022 season, and this year marks the first for the team at the High-A level of the Minor Leagues.
