Stars, D'Jaxx Announce Ticket Perks

September 26, 2008
The Huntsville Stars and West Tenn Diamond Jaxx are always searching for new ways to improve the fan experience. Today, the teams announced an addition to their Season Ticket Holder Packages, each team will now honor the other's Season Ticket Holder cards when they face each other.

Beginning this season, Huntsville Stars season tickets holders will free admission to Pringles Park when the Stars travel to Jackson and West Tenn season ticket holders will be admitted to Joe Davis Stadium when the D'Jaxx come to Huntsville.

This plan basically increases each teams' Season Ticket Package to 80 games. The Stars make two five-game trips to Jackson (May 5-9, June 5-9) and the D'Jaxx make two trips to Huntsville (July 4-7, August 17-22).

Stars' GM Buck Rogers and D'Jaxx GM Tom Hanson cooked up this idea in June when the two teams played a one-game playoff for the SL North First-Half Championship in Huntsville.

"They brought down a couple of bus loads of fans from Jackson to root on their guys," Rogers explained. "It made for a really good atmosphere at the ballpark. This is an opportunity to help promote the rivalry between the two teams and their fans, and it's just a really good way to thank our season ticket holders for their support."

The Stars have also lowered season ticket prices from $395 to $385, and are planning to add more perks before the start of the 2009 season.
