T206 Baseball Card Raffle For Grizzlies Community Fund

Grizzlies raffling an unopened Piedmont pack for $5
June 9, 2012
Fresno Grizzlies fans could have a chance of owning a T206 Honus Wagner baseball card, one of the most rare and most valuable trading cards in the world today.

To help support the Grizzlies Community Fund, the Grizzlies and Clovis Trading Cards are selling raffle tickets for an unopened, professionally graded 1909-11 Piedmont cigarette pack that may include a valuable trading card. The "Holy Grail" of these cards that may be in the pack is the Honus Wagner card. There is no guarantee of a Honus Wagner card, but there are many other potential trading cards in the unopened pack.

The raffle will run through Monday, September 3rd, 2012, where a winner will be drawn at the Grizzlies' final 2012 home game at Chukchansi Park. Raffle tickets are $5, and they can be purchased on the concourse in front of the team store during Grizzlies games. Raffle tickets can also be purchased at Clovis Trading Cards (442 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612).

If one is interested in purchasing a raffle ticket but cannot attend a 2012 Grizzlies home game, he or she may call 559.320.HITS or 559.320.2552 to purchase tickets over the phone.

Proceeds from the raffle go towards the Grizzlies Community Fund (GCF), which supports several of the Grizzlies' community programs. The GCF is a 501 c-3 non-profit organization introduced in 2004. Its mission is to spearhead efforts to assist, reward and support worthwhile causes throughout the Central Valley.

While the winner will be announced on September 3rd, the raffle winner has the choice of opening the pack or keeping the mystery alive of what is in the century-old, unopened pack.
