Three Cutters named to Baseball America Top 20 List

Baseball America has published their annual list of the Top 20 New York-Penn League Prospects and three members of the 2010 Crosscutters have been included.  The rankings come from a poll of all New York-Penn League managers.

Second baseman Cesar Hernandez was ranked #9.  Hernandez ranked 6th in the league with a .325 average which ranks 5th in Crosscutters history.  His 32 stolen bases ranked 2nd in the league and 2nd in Crosscutters and Williamsport short season history.  His 83 hits ranked 4th in the league, 4th in Crosscutters history and 5th in Williamsport short season history. He was also recently named to Baseball America's 2010 Short-Season All-Star Team.

Ranked #12 was 18 year-old outfielder Domingo Santana who hit .237 with 5 home runs and 20 RBI's.

Outfielder Aaron Altherr garnered a #15 ranking while hitting .287 after his promotion from the GCL.  He also was named to the GCL Top 20 Prospects list at #8. 

LHP Jesse Biddle, who made three starts for Williamsport late in the season, was ranked as the #7 GCL prospect.  Biddle was the Phillies #1 pick in the 2010 draft.

Former Cutters named to classification all-star teams by Baseball America this off-season include:  Double-A All-Stars- 1B Matt Rizzotti (2007), OF Domonic Brown (2007), & SP Kyle Drabek (2008).  Brown was also named the Double-A Player of the Year and named as an outfielder on the overall 2010 Minor League All-Star Team.
