Tigers' Knudsen To Be Honored This Friday

Vice President/General Manager Named to "Top 40 Under 40"

NORWICH, CT- The Connecticut Tigers are proud to announce Vice President and General Manager C.J. Knudsen has been named to the first "Southeastern Connecticut 40 Under 40 Awards". The honorees were selected for making a positive contribution to the community and the lives of fellow citizens. All honorees have consistently demonstrated excellence in their profession, as well as leadership, commitment, and service to the region.

"I'm honored and humbled to be selected along with these most deserving recipients," said Knudsen "To me this honor signifies the great impact we as an organization have been able to create throughout the community and the great partnerships we have been able to establish in our three seasons here in Norwich."

Recipients will be honored on January 18th at 6 p.m. at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The awards are presented by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce and The Day. The Connecticut Tigers are the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play in the New York-Penn League. The Tigers will host the 2013 New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday, August 13.
