GRAND CHUTE, Wisc. -- The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers lost a member of their family on Monday. Popular ballpark concessions worker Brock Calmes, who was 28 years old, died after a brief illness.

Brock was known to all fans of the team by his outgoing personality and for his exuberant call of "Peanuts! Popcorn! Cotton Candy, Licorice Rope!" that could be heard throughout the stadium for many years.

"Everyone in the Timber Rattlers organization is deeply saddened by the news of Brock's passing," said Timber Rattlers president, Rob Zerjav. "He is a member of our family and was loved by every fan who came through the gates."

"He was a great young man with a big, caring heart, and he was taken from us all too soon. The big guy will be missed."

The team will hold a moment of silence before Wednesday's Midwest League game at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Game time is 6:35 p.m.

A memorial service for Brock will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium from 6-9 p.m.
