Tucson Padres to Play at Kino Stadium in 2012

The Tucson Padres and the Pima County Sports and Tourism Authority are pleased to announce the lease for the 2012 season has been renewed and extended for one more year. This ensures the Tucson Padres will call Kino Stadium home for next season.

"We are pleased to have this deal completed before the season ended," said Tucson Padres Vice President and General Manager Mike Feder. "It now allows us to move forward with all of our planning. Last year, we didn't have our agreement until after the first of the year. Kino Stadium is a first class facility."

"I am pleased the Padres will be playing at Kino Stadium again in 2012. It is our goal to continue to work with this local group to make next season even more successful," said Jim Arnold, Executive Director of the Pima County Sports and Tourism Authority.

The Tucson Padres are in the second day of an eight-game homestand and have 16 remaining home games this season. The Padres will begin their second season in the Triple-A Pacific Coast League in April of 2012 and will play 72 home games during the spring and summer.
