Walsh and Bullpen Lead Orem to 7-4 Win

Orem got four shutout innings from its bullpen and Jonathan Walsh had three hits and three runs scored to lead Orem to a 7-4 win on Wednesday night at the Home of the Owlz.

Andrew Ray singled home Jonathan Walsh with two outs in the 6th to give Orem its first lead of the game at 5-4.

Christopher O'Grady threw two superb innings out of the bullpen to pick up the win, allowing just one hit and striking out three. He struck out the side in the 6th and went 1-2-3 in the 7th. Robbie Powell pitched two perfect innings for his second career save.

Both teams exchanged three spots in the first inning with Grand Junction getting a RBI double from David Dahl and RBIs from Ben Wadrip and Julian Yan. Dahl extended his hitting streak to 21 games with the double.

Orem got its three runs in the bottom of the 1st thanks to a RBI double by Jonathan Walsh and a 2-run double from Wendell Soto. Eddie Butler came in to tonight's game, surrendering just four walks, but he walked a season-high four in tonight's game.

Grand Junction took the lead back with a run in the 2nd, but the Owlz got the run back in the 4th on a RBI infield single from Joel Capote. Capote reached all five times up, improving his batting average to .398 in the process.
