Marlins' No. 2 prospect goes yard, scores three times

Marlins' No. 2 prospect Christian Yelich was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, three runs scored and finished a triple shy of the cycle as Jacksonville bested Mobile, 6-3, on Thursday.

Yelich continued his torrid May, raising his average to .400 for the month. All six of his home runs have come during that time and he has 15 RBIs and a 1.444 OPS for the Suns.

Adam Conley, Miami's No. 7 prospect, allowed three runs -- two earned -- on six hits over five innings to earn his third win of the season. J.T. Realmuto and Derek Fisher drove in a run apiece for Jacksonville.

Veteran Nick Evans homered in the loss for the BayBears.

Ty Wright slugged a pair of two-run homers to pace Tennessee to a 6-4 win over Jackson.

Rafael Lopez smacked an RBI double and Jonathan Mota was 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Smokies. A.J. Morris tossed three perfect innings of relief to earn his second win.

Vinnie Catricala homered and drove in two runs for the Generals.

David Bromberg tossed five hitless innings of relief to earn the win as Altoona beat Trenton, 6-2.

Charlie Morton, rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, allowed two runs on two hits over the first four innings for the Curve. Charles Cutler was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Drew Maggi had three hits and scored twice.

Yankees' No. 4 prospect Slade Heathcott homered for the Thunder.

Odubel Herrera was 4-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored, falling a homer shy of the cycle, as Frisco beat Midland, 5-4.

Chih-Hsien Chiang had three hits, including a walk-off RBI single in the ninth inning, and Tommy Telis smacked an RBI double for the RoughRiders.

David Freitas slugged a solo homer in the loss for the RockHounds.
