August 8, 2012
CURVE, Pa. - The lovable, wacky and zany ZOOperstars will make their second appearance this season in Curve, Pa. when they appear on Saturday night as the Curve take on the Trenton Thunder (AA- Yankees) beginning at 7 p.m.  Saturday night's regularly scheduled entertainer, Myron Noodleman, is unable to perform as scheduled on Saturday due to personal reasons.

The ZOOperstars will be added a card that already featured the second-to-last Curve, Pa. Blue-Out Saturday of the season with the team wearing blue jersey tops among the many items to raise awareness and funds for Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania.  Saturday night's game is also the final Scout Night Sleepover of the season, giving young scout groups the opportunity to sleep under the stars of Curve, Pa. and take in a film on the videoboard following the game.

Saturday's game comes in the middle of the second-to-last weekend home series as the Curve and Thunder square off beginning Friday.  Friday night will be another Freebie Friday in Curve, Pa. with the first 1,000 fans taking home a Curve Trash Can thanks to Sanitary Maintenance.  A T.G.I. Friday's Mug Club Night also takes place on Friday with 250 fans 21 and up taking home a Mug Club Mug as they exit the park.  After the game, all fans can head to the T.G.I. Friday's on Plank Rd. for a meet and greet with two Curve players at the Extra Innings Party.

Sunday night's 6 p.m. homestand finale features Sunday Night Fireworks thanks to the Ramada Altoona plus a pregame catch on the field from 5-5:20 p.m. and postgame kids run the bases

Altoona continues its homestand at 7 p.m. tonight versus Bowie with a postgame fireworks show thanks to Bellwood/Hollidaysburg/Philipsburg Hometown Markets.  A FREE Galliker's Kids' Club game also takes place tonight alongside the final Silver Steamers Club game of the season presented by Homewood at Martinsburg.  Since it's a Wednesday, fans can take advantage of a WALY 4-Pack Wednesday with four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular sodas for $35.
