FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 26, 2017) - Former Heisman Trophy winner and two-time University of Florida National Champion quarterback Tim Tebow will be at Hammond Stadium Friday, June 30 through Monday, July 3 in uniform for the St. Lucie Mets, Advanced-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Tebow was officially promoted from the Southern Atlantic League to the Florida State League by the New York Mets on Sunday.
Fans looking to see Tebow can purchase a Mets mini plan package to guarantee tickets to all four games. A box seat for Friday through Monday is $32, and a general admission pack is $25. This provides Tebow fans with an exceptional 33% discount for the series (normally $47 for box and $39 for GA on game days).
The four-game set includes a FIREWORKS Friday, David Ortiz Bobblehead giveaway to the first 500 fans on Saturday and our biggest FIREWORKS display of the year during our Independence FIREWORKS show on Monday. Fans have until noon on Thursday, June 29 to purchase their Mets mini plan.
In addition to Mets mini plan packages, the Miracle will also offer an exclusive batting practice experience for each of the four games. For $20, fans will be able to arrive at Hammond Stadium two hours prior to first pitch to watch the Mets' batting practice session from the field. This experience does not include a game ticket. Fans can call the Miracle front office at (239) 768-4210 and ask for Zach to book their experience now. There are 75 spots available each day for the Batting Practice experience. In the event of rain, fans will still be able to watch the Mets practice in the batting cages by the Hammond Stadium picnic area.
The St. Lucie Mets will also be in town from Saturday, July 15 through Monday, July 17, and a similar mini plan is available. A box seat for the three-game set can be purchased for $24 (normally $35 game day value), while a general admission package is $20 (normally $29 game day value). Fans must purchase the mid-July Mets mini plan packages by 5:00 PM ET on Thursday, July 13.
The former University of Florida quarterback in 2006-2009 led the Gators to a pair of BCS National Championships in 2006 and 2008 as well as earning the 2007 Heisman Trophy. Tebow was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. The highlight of his professional football career was his miraculous 80-yard game-winning touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime in the AFC Wild Card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
