Missions Slam Riders 8-3

July 25, 2014

FRISCO-Rob Kral's first career grandslam highlighted the Missions biggest inning of the year as they extended their winning streak to five games Thursday night in front of 4,317 at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.

Kral's blast came during a seven-run third inning. It was the club's league-high tying fourth slam of the season.

Leonel Campos worked a career-best five innings to pick up his first win of the season. Campos allowed one hit over the first four frames before running into trouble in the fifth, allowing three runs.

Frisco's Joey Gallo hit his pro baseball-leading 34th homerun of the year off Campos with a man aboard.

San Antonio's offense continued to sizzle as the Missions have scored 38 runs during their winning streak.

They had scored only 17 total runs in their first eight games at Frisco this year.

Notebook: Cory Spangenberg matched the team high by hitting in his 10th straight game. Spangenberg leads the Texas League in hits in July with 35 and is second in batting.
