PEARL, MS - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos (71-57, 33-25) clinched the series against the Mississippi Braves (59-69, 26-33) in an 8-2 victory on Wednesday afternoon at Trustmark Park.

The loss dropped Mississippi to 3-7 over the homestand and 1-4 in the current series.

M-Braves starter Nolan Kingham (L, 1-2) retired the first seven Blue Wahoos hitters on Wednesday before running into trouble in the third inning. Alex Kirilloff brought home Pensacola's first run with a single, Royce Lewis followed with a double and Trevor Larnach made it 3-0 with another single.

Mark Contreras and Jimmy Kerrigan hit back-to-back home runs to begin the fourth inning and then Trevor Larnach pushed their lead to 7-0 on a two-run single. The three first-round Minnesota Twins selections at the top of the Blue Wahoos lineup combined for seven of their 13 hits. Kingham gave up seven runs on eight hits over 3.2 innings with two walks and four strikeouts in his fourth Double-A start.

Jordan Harrison  matched a season-high with 3.0 innings of two-hit baseball, walking two and striking out two. Jason Hursh  pitched the final 2.1 innings with one run allowed on three hits with no walks and three strikeouts.

The M-Braves couldn't solve Pensacola 6'9" right-hander Bailey Ober (W, 2-0) in his second Double-A start. Over 7.0 shutout innings, Ober matched a career-high with 12 strikeouts.

Lane Adams  helped Mississippi avoid being shu tout in the eighth inning against Blue Wahoos reliever Tom Hackimer. Alejandro Salazar  collected one of his two hits with a one-out single, and Riley Unroe drew a two-out walk before Adams brought both home on a double to the left-field corner. Adams' first M-Braves hit made it 8-2.
