BILOXI, MS - The Southern League announced on Sunday that Daniel Lockhart and Tyler Neslony have been added to the South Division All-Star roster. Neslony will serve as a designated hitter and Lockhart an extra infielder.

M-Braves first baseman Tyler Marlette will now start at first base in place of injured Biloxi first baseman Jake Gatewood. Marlette will also compete in the Home Run Derby prior to the game on Tuesday. Lockhart takes the place of Luis Valenzuela who will be unable to attend the game.
Lockhart and Neslony will join Marlette and M-Braves pitcher Touki Toussaint at the game on Tuesday. Outfielder Michael Reed and pitcher Jacob Webb were also initially selected as All-Stars but are unable to participate due to their promotion to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Lockhart, 25, is batting .232 in 58 games this season with 25 runs, eight doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 12 RBI. This is Daniel's second mid-season All-Star selection. He was named a Northwest League Mid-Season All-Star in 2013 with Low-A Boise (CHC).
Lockhart was signed by the Braves as a minor-league free agent on January 9, 2018. Son of former Brave Keith Lockhart, Danial was signed by his father as an area scout with the Cubs after being drafted in the 10th round in 2011 out of Hebron Christian (GA) Academy.
Neslony, 24, is batting .239 with 24 runs, 13 doubles, two triples, four stolen bases and leads the club with 31 RBI this season. This is Neslony's second straight Mid-Season All-Star selection after being named a Florida State League All-Star in 2017.
Neslony was the ninth round selection by the Braves in 2016 out of Texas Tech University.
The 2018 Southern League All-Star Game is scheduled for Tuesday, June 19 at Regions Field in Birmingham.
The M-Braves return to Trustmark Park, June 21-26, for a six-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to open the second-half of the 2018 season. For tickets or more information fans can visit mississippibraves.com or call 888-BRAVES4.
