PEARL, MS - The Mississippi Braves (31-42) defeated the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (29-42) by a final score of 4-3 on Saturday night at Trustmark Park. Alay Lago proved to be the hero of the game for the M-Braves in the bottom of the ninth inning after he delivered a RBI single to center field, giving the M-Braves a walk-off victory. M-Braves starter, Michael Mader posted a solid start after tossing 5.0 innings, without allowing a run. In 5.0 innings pitched, Mader allowed just three hits, issued two walks and struck out six.
Runs came at a premium in Saturday night's contest as neither team manufactured a run until the top of the eighth inning when Jacksonville plated three runs on two hits. Monte Harrison was responsible for the game's first run as he singled on a soft fly ball to right field allowing J.C. Millan to score from third base. Isan Díaz followed with a double to left field which allowed Brian Miller and Harrison to score.

With their backs against the wall trailing 3-0 late in the game, the M-Braves refused to go quietly into the night as they responded with a three-run inning of their own in the bottom of the eighth inning. Daniel Lockhart produced the M-Braves first run of the game when he sent a ground ball RBI single to right field, scoring Luis Marté from second base. Tyler Neslony who has proven to be a timely hitter for the M-Braves all season long, followed with a RBI single to right field, cutting the scoring deficit to one run. The M-Braves tied the game 3-3 after the speedy Lockhart took advantage of a wild pitch by Jacksonville relief pitcher, Kyle Keller and scored from third base.
Alay Lago who had been hitless in the game until his final at bat in the bottom of the ninth inning stepped to the plate with one out and hammered a RBI ground ball single to center field to give the M-Braves a 4-3 walk-off victory over the Jumbo Shrimp in game three of the six-game series.
M-Braves reliever, Corbin Clouse (2-0, 2.27) earned the win while Jacksonville's Keller (1-3, 4.76) suffered the loss as well as a blown save.
