ROSTER UPDATE - LHP Michael Mader Promoted to Triple A-Gwinnett

RHP Wes Parsons Transferred to Double-A Mississippi

PEARL, MS - Mader, 24, has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett after posting a 1-1 record and a 3.10 ERA (29.0IP/10ER) over 12 games and three starts for the M-Braves. Mader earned the win on Opening Night, April 5 vs. Tennessee with 2.0 innings of scoreless relief behind starter Kyle Wright.

PEARL, MS - Mader, 24, has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett after posting a 1-1 record and a 3.10 ERA (29.0IP/10ER) over 12 games and three starts for the M-Braves. Mader earned the win on Opening Night, April 5 vs. Tennessee with 2.0 innings of scoreless relief behind starter Kyle Wright. He walked 2 and struck out 2 as the M-Braves won 3-0. The Mariana, FL native received his first save of the 2018 season in the M-Braves 5-3 win over Tennessee on April 8.
Mader was acquired by the Braves along with INF Anfernee Seymour from the Miami Marlins in exchange for LHP Hunter Cervenka on August 6, 2016. He was originally a third round selection by the Miami Marlins in 2014 out of Chipola College (FL).

Parsons, 25, has been transferred to Double-A Mississippi after posting a 1-0 record and a 4.38 ERA (12.1IP/6ER) in two starts with Triple-A Gwinnett. Parsons began the 2018 season with Double-A Mississippi where he posted a 1-2 record with a 1.23 ERA (29.1IP/4ER) before being promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett on May 12.
Parsons was signed by the Atlanta Braves as a non-drafted free agent on July 30, 2012 out of Jackson State Community College (Jackson, TN).  
The Mississippi Braves active roster stands at 24 with 6 on the Disabled List.
