BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Braves stretched their winning streak to four games with a 6-4 victory over the Biloxi Shuckers on Thursday night at MGM Park. With the win, the M-Braves are 18-15 on the season, 6-3 to start the month of June, and 10-3 over their last 13 games.

The Braves took advantage of early Biloxi (12-21) miscues to jump out to an early lead. Justin Dean and Wendell Rijo reached on a hit by a pitch and walk in the first inning, and with two outs, Trey Harris reached on a throwing error by Biloxi pitcher Lucas Erceg (L, 0-2) that scored both. The M-Braves led 2-0.

The Braves extended the lead to 4-0 in the third inning against Biloxi reliever Nick Bennett. Rijo singled with two outs and then came home on Shea Langeliers' fifth double of the season. Langeliers came home on the third Biloxi error when Harris reached on an infield single but advanced on another wild throw.

On the mound, AJ Puckett was solid over 4.0 innings of one-run baseball. Biloxi plated their first run to trim the lead to 4-1 on a single by Tristan Lutz, scoring Brice Turang. Puckett threw a season-high 87 pitches, striking out five and walking three in his fourth start.

Jefrey Ramos pushed the lead to 6-1 with his second home run in two days in the sixth inning. The two-out, two-run home run scored Harris, who led off the inning with a single. Ramos' homer was his second this season, and 12th for the M-Braves in the last four games played at MGM Park.

The Shuckers would mount another unsuccessful comeback again on Thursday, scoring a run in the sixth inning against reliever Matt Withrow. The 27-year-old right-hander would end up striking out four over 2.0 innings with no walks.

Daysbel Hernandez struck out two in the eighth inning but yielded two runs on an RBI single from Lutz and a bases-loaded walk to Alexander Palma, trimming the lead to 6-4.

Brandon White struck out two more Shuckers in the bottom of the ninth inning to stop the comeback bid, earning his sixth save in six opportunities.

Sean McLaughlin (W, 3-1) pitched a scoreless fifth inning and secured the win. Overall, M-Braves pitchers struck out a season-high 15 batters on Thursday night and have 29 punch-outs the past two days.

Harris logged his second two-hit night by going 2-for-4, and Jalen Miller extended his hitting streak to six games with a 1-for-3 game and walk. Shea Langeliers was 1-for-4 with the RBI double and also caught two would-be Biloxi base stealers. Langeliers leads all of Double-A baseball by catching 15-of-26 this season, a 58% clip.
