The Missoula Osprey (28-23, 8-5) slipped on Sunday against Orem (17-34, 3-9), 3-2, at UCCU Ballpark. The loss on Sunday forces a tie for first in the North between Missoula and Billings. Missoula knocked ten hits to the Owlz eight, finishing 2-10 with runners in scoring position.

Osprey starter Dustin Lacaze tossed five innings in his fourth start, striking out five batters and allowing two runs. Lacaze turned it to left-hander Liu Fuenmayor (L, 3-2), who struck out four in three innings, giving up the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th.

The two Osprey runs were scored off the efforts of left fielder Tristen Carranza, who drove a run in the 3rd and the 5th, both with two outs in the inning. 2B Cam Coursey ended his night 3-4, scoring once.

In his first game since arriving from Hillsboro, Osprey shortstop Nick Grande scored once, finishing 2-4 at the bottom of the order.

Orem broke a tied ballgame in the bottom of the 8th with back-to-back hits. The Osprey had David Sanchez at 2nd in the 9th, but couldn't bring the tying run in.

An eight-game road trip continues with a four-game series upcoming against the Ogden Raptors. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 pm MDT on Monday night.

The Osprey return to Ogren Park at Allegiance Field on Friday, August 16, against the Great Falls Voyagers for Jacks Pub Happy Hour, with $2 Mystery Beer on tap, and $3 micro brews from 4-7.
