July 1, 2015

Modesto, CA. - After coughing up a late lead, the Modesto Nuts came back for a 5-4, ten-inning triumph over the Bakersfield Blaze at John Thurman Field on Tuesday night.

In the bottom of the ninth, Dillon Thomas whacked a triple off the right-field wall. The throw back to the infield kicked off the cutoff man's glove. Thomas popped to his feet and scored the tying run.

In the tenth, Raimel Tapia was at third with no outs. Ryan McMahon knocked a single through the drawn-in infield on the right side to give the Nuts (37-38) their eighth walk-off win of the year.

In the eighth, the Blaze (27-48; 1-4) had taken the one-run lead on a go-ahead, two-run homer from Tyler O'Neill.
