Lenn Sakata Replaced as Nuts Manager

The Colorado Rockies have replaced Lenn Sakata as manager of the Modesto Nuts, the team announced today. Fred Nelson, who was serving as the Nuts Development Supervisor, will manage the team for the rest of the season.

Sakata led the Modesto Nuts to the California League finals in 2012 where the team fell to the Lancaster JetHawks in three games. This season, Sakata led the Nuts to a 4th place finish in the first half. The team is currently in 2nd place with a 10-7 record in the 2nd half.
