Modesto, CA. - Joe Gatto stifled the Modesto Nuts' offense in a 6-0 shutout at the hands of the Inland Empire 66ers on Tuesday night at John Thurman Field.
Evan White doubled in the first inning but that was the only hit that Joe Gatto (W, 2-0) surrendered against the Nuts' (6-13) offense over six shutout innings. The righty struck out six and walked two without allowing a runner to reach third.

Garcia stranded two baserunners in the first as he settled down until the fourth. After two quick outs, Jordan Zimmerman tripled before Brandon Sandoval doubled him in. Jahmi Jones followed with a RBI single before Rengifo drove in his third run of the game with a double.
