The Biscuits (42-45/14-11) could not complete the comeback as they fell to the Biloxi Shuckers (45-47/11-14) in extra innings 10-9 Friday night at MGM Park. After bouncing back from a 7-0 deficit, the Biscuits failed to escape Biloxi with a win as they fell behind 3-1 in the series.

Biloxi came out swinging as they racked in seven runs in the first two innings. Back-to-back hit by pitches scored the first two for the Shuckers in the bottom of the first. Outfielder, Noah Campbell then grounded out but not before extending the Biloxi lead to 3-0. A sac fly by Felix Valerio put the Shuckers up 4-0 as they walked out the first inning in comfortable position.

In the bottom of the second, Biloxi picked up where they left off as Thomas Dillard delivered a two run RBI-single that put them up 6-0. The Shuckers kept momentum going when Campbell hit an RBI-single to extend the lead to 7-0 in just the second inning.

After three scoreless innings Biloxi continued their magic at the plate with another run, this time at the hands of Sal Frolic who connected on an RBI-single to make it 8-0. Montgomery was finally able to get on board when infielder Ronny Simon smacked a two run RBI-double to cut at the Biloxi lead and make it 8-2. In the same inning Roberto Alvarez hit a sac fly to bring Jordan Qsar home and shorten the deficit to 8-3.

In the top of the seventh, the Biscuits continued their rally as Brett Wisely hit an RBI-single to slice the lead in half. Diego Infante followed that up with an RBI-double that brought Osleivis Basabe home. Simon continued to keep the ball rolling as hit connected on a two run RBI-single that put the Biscuits within one with the score now 8-7 going into the eight inning.

In the eighth, a passed ball by Shuckers catcher Jason Lopez allowed Tyler Frank to score and tie the game at eight. Wisley hit a sac fly that put the Biscuits ahead 9-8 at the amazement of the Biloxi home crowd, Shuckers Garett Mitchell hit a sac fly of his own as it tied the game again at nine.

With neither team scoring in the ninth, the game entered extras as the Biscuits failed to create offense with their backs against the wall. Shuckers Frelick made sure to send the home crowd home on a good note as he hit a walk-off ground ball RBI-single to put the Shuckers ahead 10-9 and walk out with a win.

After falling behind 3-1, Montgomery still has the hope to leave Biloxi on a positive note going into the weekend. RHP Jayden Murray duels RHP Noah Zavolas Saturday night at 6:35 PM CT in a tough matchup that proves to be a must win for the Biscuits.
