CHATTANOOGA, Ten. – The Biscuits (52-48/24-14) continued their dominance as they rolled to another win against the Chattanooga Lookouts (47-60/13-25) 8-3 Saturday night at AT&T Field. The Biscuits surged with timely hitting to lift past the Lookouts late.

Biscuits third baseman Brett Wisley got the Biscuits on the board first by way of a two-run RBI-single in the top of the second. Prior to tonight, Montgomery is 34-18 when scoring first. In the bottom of the inning, Lookouts Christian Incarnation-Strand cut the lead in half with a solo home run to left center to make the game 2-1 Biscuits.

Ronny Simon put the Biscuits back up by two, 3-1 in the top of the third when he recorded a sac fly. The sac fly would be Simon’s sixth RBI of the series. In the fourth, Wisley had his name called again with an RBI-double to extend the gap to three, 4-1 Montgomery. Chattanooga was able to go tic-for-tac as Matt McLain put one on the board for the Lookouts and lean closer to the Biscuits, 4-2. Later in the inning Biscuits relief pitcher, Chris Gas threw a wild pitch that scored James Free and put the game within one for the Lookouts, 4-3.

Through seven innings the Montgomery bullpen was able to retire the Lookouts side, one-two-three on three separate occasions. With two outs in the top of the eighth, Osleivis Basabe came up big with an RBI-single grounder that put the Biscuits up two, 5-3. Kameron Misner followed his efforts with another RBI-single to grow the lead to 6-3. The lead gave Montgomery breathing room as they looked to close out the game.

In the ninth, Montgomery racked in two extra runs to put the nail in the coffin as Wisley delivered a two-run RBI-single to put the scoreboard to 8-3 where it would stay. Biscuits relief Jose Lopez got the hold and the Biscuits moved to three in a row and four of the five in the series.

Montgomery returns back to action Sunday for the series finale when RHP Evan McKendry (0-4, 3.34) duels LHP Andrew Abbott (5-5, 5.46)
