The Detroit Tigers have announced Jeff Pico, Brian Harper, Basilio Cabrera, Fred Murphy and Chris McDonald will be back with the Toledo Mud Hens for the 2018 season, joining new skipper Doug Mientkiewicz.

Pitching coach Jeff Pico will return for his third season with Mud Hens. Pico played three seasons with the Chicago Cubs from 1988-1990. Prior to joining the Hens he spent two seasons as pitching coach of the Cincinnati Reds.
Hitting coach Brian Harper returns for his second season with Mud Hens. He had a 16-year career in the majors from 1979-1995, and was a member of the 1991 World Series Champion Minnesota Twins.
Third base coach Basilio Cabrera returns for his third season with Mud Hens. He joined Toledo's coaching staff after eight seasons as manager of the Gulf Coast League Tigers.
Strength and conditioning coach Fred Murphy returns for his fourth season with Mud Hens. Prior to joining Toledo, Murphy spent four seasons with Double-A Erie Seawolves.
Athletic trainer Chris McDonald returns for his fifth season with Mud Hens. Prior to joining Toledo, he spent eight seasons with Double-A Erie Seawolves.
The Mud Hens open the 2018 season at Louisville on Friday, April 6, with Opening Day at Fifth Third Field on Thursday, April 12 against Pawtucket.
